Imagine solar cells that are lightweight, and scalable
Perovskite solar cells have efficiencies comparable to that of silicon technologies and can be used in places where traditional solar panels would not be practical. Perovskite can be manufactured to be either rigid or flexible.

Frequently asked questions
DO NOT EDIT
What is perovskite?
Perovskite is a chemical formula ABX₃, that occurs naturally in the Earth’s crust, or can be reproduced synthetically. Synthetic perovskite is what is used to make solar cells.
DO NOT EDIT
How does perovskite compare to traditional silicon solar technology?
Perovskite is lighter, thinner, and costs less to produce than traditional solar technology. It has a power conversion efficiency that is competitive with silicon. We are also on the road to achieving the 25 year lifetime you would expect from a silicon solar panel.
DO NOT EDIT
Can perovskite solar panels be flexible?
Yes! Rayleigh is working on both rigid and flexible perovskite solar panels at this time.
DO NOT EDIT
Do you have your own production facility?
Yes! We commissioned our pilot manufacturing facility in 2022, and expanded the space in 2023.
DO NOT EDIT
Do your products contain heavy metals?
Perovskite does contain heavy materials, but these materials are often present in smaller quantities than in a comparable silicon module.
