Imagine solar cells that are lightweight, flexible, and scalable

Perovskite solar cells have efficiencies comparable to that of silicon technologies and can be used in places where traditional rigid solar panels would not be practical.

Additional advantages of perovskite solar technology

Manufacturing

Our solar panels are produced using the slot-die coating method, allowing for low-temperature deposition. Slot-die coating is a well understood and highly scalable process.

Indoor Applications

Perovskite solar cells are more efficient in low light conditions, including indoor ambient light.

Tunable

Our perovskite recipe can be optimized for different end-use applications – both indoor and outdoor.

Low temperature coefficient

Perovskite solar cells are able to maintain efficiency at higher temperatures.

Explore new solar applications, whatever your sector

Our flexible solar film exceeds limitations created by traditional solar energy systems. With light-weight, flexile cells that can adhere to practically any surface, renewable solar energy is no longer bound by rooftops or ground mounts. We enable a spectrum of applications across industries.

Frequently asked questions

DO NOT EDIT

What is Perovskite?

Perovskite is a chemical formula, ABX₃ that occurs naturally in the Earth’s crust, or can be reproduced synthetically. Synthetic perovskite is what is used to make solar cells.

DO NOT EDIT

How flexible are your products?

The flexibility of a perovskite solar cell depends on encapsulation methods used. Generally, a perovskite cell’s minimum bending radius can be measured in centimetres. Meanwhile, silicon flexibility is measured in meters.

DO NOT EDIT

Do you have your own production facility?

Yes! We currently have a pilot manufacturing facility with a roll-to-roll slot-die coater in Dartmouth, NS.

DO NOT EDIT

Do your products contain heavy metals?

Perovskite does contain heavy materials, but these materials are often present in smaller quantities than in a comparable silicon cell.
